Thursday – Swatch Day

What’s a knitter to do…? Finished the linen LoveNote (as in, the actual knitting is done…however fading required some yarn management and now there are ENDS to weave in <sigh> so many ENDS!) and I.can’t. stand.it. The only thing on the needles are my purse/tv socks. Swatch time!

I have the absolutely dreamy Debbie Bliss Donegal Tweed merino/cashmere…5 skeins. Plenty to do whatever and I’m feeling the need for a textured squishy knit. Found a ‘thermal’ pattern, but woah…gauge is 27st. Talk about bulletproof. This photo shows 25st which is comfortably soft. Changed the column of knits to ktbl for added stitch definition, will knit one size smaller to accommodate gauge difference and off I go!

Here’s a peek at the LoveNote as-is and the linen Ochre cardi I finished just before that, also needs to ends woven in…

Apparently this has been the summer of summer knits…the finish just before these two was a linen Ranunculus…

Now that I’ve got that out of my system…for the moment…time to think fall knitting. I also have yarn for a color-work pattern, cue the Jeopardy music…
