Finishes…..

It looks like I’m having fun with this…SMH. Thinking about March….leprechaun….green….hmmm. Working the brioche section of Starflanket with colors A and B….feels like it is taking forever. Each round is 576 stitches…so completing the two passes is O.M.G. 1152 stitches……what? Next challenge will be after the short rows to add back the points to the […]

Gnoming Around!

January gnomes are finished and so much fun! Taller gnome has 4 beads at the point of the hat and a crocheted snowflake decoration. Smaller gnome’s hat is missing the two duplicate pattern repeats, braids instead of a beard and joined hands. Thinking about February….

Finished!

Three finishes, and a first. The Bias Pink Shawl is yet another iteration of my standard recipe shawl…a wardrobe staple. CO3, inc up one side almost to desired length/yarn usage, change from stockinette to (yo,k2tog) just long enough so that yarn-chicken isn’t necessary to complete a stretchy BO. A lovely layer that will go with […]

Knitting in July….in spite of the humidity

Ankers Summer Top and Pink Ranunculas are done….woohoo! Sock are also done, the heels made perfect in the car knitting while waiting for M at an appointment. Bottom left is a beige silk/linen Cedar Pullover which has been frogged twice due to sizing issues. Who knew! I love the fabric and it should be loose […]

Ah, summer at last!

Finished these three Miettes, May 20 – June 13! Still have to weave in the ends, but wow! Of course, by the time #3 was mostly done I had made some minor alterations that made the knitting lay smoother on the edges and makes me want to go back and redo #1, except that I […]

It's a Ranunculus Kind of Year!

I’ve already knit one I’m calling Orange Sherbet, a third set of socks are on the needles, a Plum Boxy is keeping me warm. I can’t wait to wear my Marettimo in Pink when we get some warmer weather! Wow, Ravelry says that’s already 4,140yds used this year….that’s a lot of stitches, and what a […]

Whoa…2019, Slow Down!

It’s been a busy 5 months! Where do I start?! Well, how about with finished objects? Knit some more socks… I’ve just about finished a Tegna from some nice raspberry colored cotton, the back is done on another Deschain in green linen, there is another pair of socks in progress in the car… And I’m […]

Fall Knitting

As the weather turns cooler I definitely want to knit warmer things! I finished my All the Love in 8 days…it’s blocked and modeled (with the ends still sticking out). Playing yarn chicken necessitated short sleeves and a slightly shorter body but it is so soft I’m looking forward to wearing it! My first gift […]
