My best man decided we should do brunch at the suggestion of a co-worker. Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill….was awesome! The staff was warm and wonderful, the food was creative and executed perfectly and the site itself was really nice. If the weather had been better we could have eaten outside, there is also a bar area where they have live music and other events during the week. We wish it was closer to home!
I cast on the hat, pictured above, as we were leaving church and knit the four inches of ribbing in the car and the little time I was ‘hands-free’ at brunch. The remaining 3+ inches were during Olympic coverage this afternoon! The hat is for NYC daughter and now I have to wait to see if she wants a slouchy hat or a messy bun hat.
We also saw bunnies in a neighbor’s yard…
…and I continued knitting on my Girl from the Grocery Store shawl. Actually, I’m done with it except the bind off and weaving in all.those.ends….

Son and his girl-friend gifted me the knitting bowl…love it!
Next up, I have 1275 yards of Sueno Hikoo in their Bowl of Raspberries tonal colorway, which is a lovely 75/25 superwash merino/bamboo…searching Ravelry for a likely next project. This yarn is warm and really drapey…I’ve knit a Shleeves with it in a different color and really like it. I’m thinking cardigan, but trying to keep an open mind. I also need to order my Hippo colorway for the end of March project deadline, but Valentines and St Patricks isn’t showing up on Lolodidit’s website in the Yak that I’d like to try.
Watching the Olympics, sipping a lovely Cab….searching Ravelry…
Happy Knitting!
